May Rain

This last week-end I want to Coimbra for this huge party that happens every year called "Burn of ribbons". 

Why is it called like that? Well, every finalist have these ribbons (actually called sprout) which has the color from the college course they're at. In the penultimate year, students use that ribbon tied to an turnip with sprouts and they give it to people so they snap it. In the last year, they burn the ribbon in this party. It's a very large, old and funny tradition. I wish I could be part of it.

Anyway, this party lasts a whole week, but on Sunday happened a parade with cars decorated with flowers with the colors of the courses (it's all about the colors!). Only finalists go in these cars. 

The other students (and all the people around)walk in front of the respective car and take with beer all the path. Basically, it's a waste of beer. I actually think that this party is on the Guinness for the party that wastes more beer in the world.

At night, there is an enclosure with a stage where famous bands perform. On Saturday was AfroJack!

This last Tuesday was my birthday. 20 years. 

Awful party. Never gonna celebrate my birthday again. Never goes right. NEVER.

It was kinda fun at the beginning. But then, it started falling apart. No one cared. 

Anyway, this was my last week. Now I'm home, studying cause the next week will hurt.
